STARTING THERAPY

Questions you can ask before therapy

A first conversation is also a chance to understand your options.

Choose “Save as PDF” in your print options to keep a copy.

You can ask questions before deciding whether a therapist or approach is right for you.

Bring what matters to you.

  • What are your qualifications and experience with this concern?
  • What approach would you suggest, and why?
  • How will we agree goals and review progress?
  • What are the fees and practical arrangements?
  • How are confidentiality and clinical records handled?

You do not need to share your whole history in an enquiry. Ask for clarification when something is unclear, and discuss alternatives if the proposed approach does not feel suitable.

You choose
what to send.

This page prepares a short message using your service, language and session preferences. These selections are held only in the open page; the page does not save them to a database.

Contact details are awaiting confirmation. You can copy this enquiry to your device clipboard and keep it for later. Copying does not send it to the practice. If you later send it through a messaging service, that provider’s privacy terms apply.

Please avoid sending detailed health information in an initial enquiry. Ask the practice for its full privacy notice and secure intake process before sharing clinical information.
